Quality off-the-shelf resonators, oscillators and filters for quick delivery
The RVG1490L is designed for applications that require high frequencies and ultra-low RMS phase jitter, such as Coherent Optical Modules and Base Station Radio Units.
The ever increasing need for bandwidth is pushing up requirements of communications equipment. Fiber optical communication systems are evolving from intensity modulation to coherent modulation techniques. Coherent modulation techniques require low close-in phase noise reference signals at high frequencies. The RVG1490L series with its capability to generate frequencies beyond 2 GHz at very low phase noise enables coherent optical transport systems. Rakon customers have been able to build cutting edge 100G coherent optical transport equipment by incorporating the RVG1490L with frequencies ranging from 1.8 GHz to 2.2 GHz.
The RVG1490L excels in radio applications. 5G, and other wireless transport applications are moving towards millimeter‐wave frequencies. With low close‐in phase noise capabilities, RVG1490L is able to provide clean, high frequency references with minimal contribution to EVM (Error Vector Magnitude) at high QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) rates for improved data throughput.
The RVG1490L may also be used as a reference for FPGAs in high speed interface applications and references for ADC/DACs in high speed data converters.
