Rakon Oscillators On Board India's Moon Mission - Chandrayaan-2

With the successful launch of India’s Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft into an earth orbit last week, global technology company Rakon is proud of its continued involvement in the space industry. Chandrayaan-2 is on target to reach the moon on 7 September. Rakon has supplied several frequency control products for the moon mission. It is the first space mission attempting to conduct a soft landing on the moon’s south polar region.
ISRO stated the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter will circle the moon and provide information about its surface. The payloads will collect scientific information on lunar topography, mineralogy, elemental abundance, lunar exosphere and signatures of hydroxyl and water-ice, the space agency said.
